summer In Dublin

We’re hoping for a long hot summer in Dublin, if we’re lucky! Dublin City is a different place when the sun shines. People make the most of the outdoor space, lunching with colleagues in the park and meeting for impromptu after-work drinks in a beer garden close to the office. It’s a fantastic time of the year for events and festivals in the city centre with something exciting to look forward to every week. There is no fear of becoming bored in the summer months in Dublin. We see more people excited to work from their office spaces in Dublin, enjoying the city instead of being cooped up in home offices.

Summer Festivals in Dublin

The Dublin events calendar fills up from May to September, celebrating longer warmer days in the city. In May, we love the Dublin Literature Festival in Merrion Square Park, in the heart of the city. This unique festival celebrates all things literature with meet and greets with authors, book releases and other literary events to look forward to. June is the most colourful month of the year with the brilliant Dublin Pride returning to the city. With everything from theatre shows, club nights, exhibitions, drag lunches and the all-important Pride March from Thursday 20th to Saturday 29th. In July, we celebrate James Joyce and his seminal work, Ulysses, with traditional meals, costumes, shows, and tours. August is a busy month in Dublin, culminating in one of the most popular events of the year, The Dublin Horse Show in RDS. Summer is a great time to visit Dublin.

Make the most of lunchtime

It’s hard to be stuck in an office when the sun is shining outside. Make the most of your lunchtime and explore parts of Dublin you might never have seen before. Walk down the city’s most vibrant street, Grafton Street, stopping for a coffee or an ice cream and listening to the buskers. Stephens Green Park often has live entertainment at the bandstand and if not, people-watching in Dublin City is always an interesting activity. Make the most of your lunch hour by visiting a local museum or gallery, enjoying some shopping, visiting a market, meeting some friends or having a lunchtime date with your partner.

Team building in dublin

With so many people working exclusively remotely or hybrid these days, it can be hard to get to know colleagues in a new workplace. Don’t rely on bumping into people in the office, instead plan a team-building day in Dublin City this summer and get to know your colleagues better so you can work better as a team. Team building looks different for every company ranging from a pizza in the office canteen to an off-site activity. Some companies hire others to facilitate team building in their boardrooms, enjoying a catered lunch afterwards. Others prefer fun activities like escape rooms or football tournaments that encourage teamwork and camaraderie. Many companies have a summer gathering in a local pub or restaurant enjoying a BBQ meal and a couple of drinks with colleagues. You’re spoiled for choice with team-building activities in Dublin.
